DESCRIPTION: Dobbs Fifth Avenue silk top hat. Interior label "MADE IN ENGLAND Dobbs Fifth Avenue New York". Oval-shaped board hat box labeled "Trademark Dunlap New York". MEASUREMENTS: Hat 23" circumference x 8-1/8" diameter (20-1/2 cm) x 12-1/2" front to back x 5-7/8" tall. Box 14" x 12-1/4" x 6-5/8". CONDITION: Losses and fading to threads, particularly around edge of top and brim. Loss of tension around one quarter of the stack. Minor discoloration to label on interior. Minor tears and discoloration around sweat band. Tears, losses, fading, discoloration and pencil marks on box.
