Item Details

Description

The photo album offered in this lot was compiled during World War II by a Captain in the United States Army stationed in Europe. The album contains over 70 black-and-white snapshots (some described in white handwriting on black pages) by the consignor's grandfather who, it is believed, took most of the photos himself. Some were taken in Belgium, some at Omaha Beach where troops had landed on D-Day, and others at the Beach at Le Harve. The album is being presented just as it was discovered, with a few photos bent or missing and with some corner holders missing. The album measures approx. 10-1/4" x 7".
