Item Details

Description

This is a fine example of a British photogravure printed travel poster from the 1930s. Historic Carisbrooke Castle on the Isle of Wight is the subject of the sepia-tone poster, printed in England by Rembrandt Photogravure Limited for the Travel Association of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It measures approx. 25" x 40" and is in near-perfect condition. This type of poster has only begun to be appreciated in recent years, mainly because of its high quality photography and printing.
