Description
A Steuben crystal glass plaque with the portrait intaglio of Thomas Alva Edison. Measures 8.5" x 6.5" x .75" deep. These plaques were made to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Edison's invention of the light bulb and were given as gifts to attendees at a banquet given by Henry Ford in Dearborn, Michigan on October 21, 1929 to celebrate Edison’s invention as well as the opening of the Henry Ford Museum. The plaque is signed on the bottom with acid etched fleur de lis mark Steuben Copyright 1929 C.G.W.
