(lot of 6) Collection of ceramic tableware, comprising: (1) Turkish majolica style decanter and underplate, both having handpainted floral patterns, approx 18"h; (1) Portuguese Estrela De Conimbriga majolica style serving platter, floral pattern rim and center, holes drilled to foot for hanging, flake to rim, approx 19.25"l, 12.75"w; (4) French Luneville serving plates, blue transfer decorated figural decorated centers depicting varied farm scenes, three intact with hairlines, approx 10"diam; 12lbs total *Provenance: From the estate of Jo Anne Christian (Texas, 1936-2015), a lifelong collector of friends, paintings, jewelry, books and other beautiful things, was known for her love of color and her support for the arts. As one of the Three J's--the three women who founded Austin's Long Center for the Performing Arts--Mrs. Christian made an indelible mark on Texas' Capital City. Jo Anne Christian was the widow of George E. Christian Jr. (Texas, 1927-2002), press secretary to President Lyndon Baines Johnson.
