The Citroën DS 19 Décapotable was first presented in September 1960. As far as technology was concerned, the convertible version was in line with the sedan, however, the two-doorer required many modifications, for instance, the rear fenders, normally screwed, had to be welded, all these tasks were carried out by the body maker Chapron. Even though the open variant was called “Cabriolet d’Usine”, it was constructed as a special body: the chassis, with the technology already installed and a mounted front part, were shipped to Chapron at Levallois-Perret as of 1964, where they were completed by hand. This explains why the cabriolets were so expensive: 21,000 Deutschmarks for the DS 19 Cabriolet, while the sedan started at 11,950 DM. The DS 19 was replaced by the DS 21 as of 1986, initially still with round headlamps, then with double headlamps. This car was made after August 1967 and was shipped to Italy in November the same year, where it was registered in January 1968 for the first time. It has, on the one hand, a solid base, on the other hand it also has neat traces of use, for instance on the original lather seats.

A timely collection can also made via a commissioning of Auctionata to a fee-based transport (flat shipping rate). If the time period lapses without a result, the buyer has to pay storage costs in the amount of 25, - € per day.
