Description
Description: This set is was made between 1862-1872 with Minton imprint. Also numbered and signed by the painter. Roses pattern decorated with enamel paints and gilt highlights. This set includes six teacups and saucers, two dessert plates, a sugar bowl, a kettle, and a creamer.
History: Minton china has been made in the Staffordshire region of England from 1793 to the present. The firm became part of the Royal Doulton Tableware Group in 1968, but the wares continued to be marked Minton. Many marks have been used. Before 1912, the name on the mark was usually Mintons before it became Minton. The word England was added in 1891. Minton majolica is listed in the Majolica category.
