Description: Baccarat style glasswork Paperweight, with distinctive "Millefiori" styled decorative patterns on glassware. Rounded spots magnify the patterns, pyramids with star shaped designs above them are crafted into the crystal giving this glasswork brightness.

History: The technical knowledge for creating millefiori was lost by the eighteenth century, and the technique was not revived until the nineteenth century. Within several years of the technique's rediscovery, factories in Italy, France and England were all manufacturing the glassware.
