Description
Turned poplar in original polychrome painted finish with strawberries, domed lid with cotter pin hinges, 3.2 x 1.75 x 2" high. Joseph Lehn (1798-1892) was the son of Abraham and Mary Lane (Lehn) of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Penn. He was a prolific turner, cooper and cabinet maker of German descent.
Condition
Very minor paint loss, appears to be a chip to front of the base however paint is intact to where the chip is.
