(lot) Group of ladies sterling and costume green stone jewelry, comprising: (1) Lee Angel chrysoprase green stone chunky necklace, gold plated clasp; (1 pair) green chrysoprase cabochon earrings, presented in sterling silver mounts, marked Mexico 925 on back; (3) assorted sterling silver and gemstone bracelets by Sarda with toggle closures; (1) green stone bracelet; 11.6 oz total (inclusive of all material) *Provenance: From the estate of Jo Anne Christian (Texas, 1936-2015), a lifelong collector of friends, paintings, jewelry, books and other beautiful things, was known for her love of color and her support for the arts. As one of the Three J's--the three women who founded Austin's Long Center for the Performing Arts--Mrs. Christian made an indelible mark on Texas' Capital City. Jo Anne Christian was the widow of George E. Christian Jr. (Texas, 1927-2002), press secretary to President Lyndon Baines Johnson. She was an attorney, an avid historian, a voracious reader and an inveterate theatergoer.
