(lot) Ciner signed pastel glass and rhinestone gold plated costume jewelry, comprising: (1) glass beaded necklace accented with gold plated filigree beads, with carved glass Buddha mask in pierced hat and collar; (1) double strand green glass bead necklace, floral form clasp; (1 pair) faceted pink glass surrounded by faux pearls, lacking one pearl; (1 pair) faceted tear drop shaped blue glass in rhinestone encrusted frame; largest: 22"l, 0.25lbs total *Provenance: From the estate of Jo Anne Christian (Texas, 1936-2015), a lifelong collector of friends, paintings, jewelry, books and other beautiful things, was known for her love of color and her support for the arts. As one of the Three J's--the three women who founded Austin's Long Center for the Performing Arts--Mrs. Christian made an indelible mark on Texas' Capital City. Jo Anne Christian was the widow of George E. Christian Jr. (Texas, 1927-2002), press secretary to President Lyndon Baines Johnson. She was an attorney, an avid historian, a voracious reader and an inveterate theatergoer.
