(lot) Collection of Lalique art glass jewelry, all retaining original boxes, including: (1) "Bague Serpent" ring in violet, size 7-7.25; (1) gold tone ring with central clear domed cabochon, approx size 6.75; (2) clip on circular earrings, each mounted with blue glass dome, clip on, ear pads disintegrating, 1"diam; all marked, .25lb total (inclusive of boxes) *Provenance: From the estate of Jo Anne Christian (Texas, 1936-2015), a lifelong collector of friends, paintings, jewelry, books and other beautiful things, was known for her love of color and her support for the arts. As one of the Three J's--the three women who founded Austin's Long Center for the Performing Arts--Mrs. Christian made an indelible mark on Texas' Capital City. Jo Anne Christian was the widow of George E. Christian Jr. (Texas, 1927-2002), press secretary to President Lyndon Baines Johnson. She was an attorney, an avid historian, a voracious reader and an inveterate theatergoer.
