Antique English 19th c. Brown Westhead Moore Teutonic Pattern Large Soup Tureen c. 1880s. Registry Diamond on the back. This is a magnificent large ironstone soup tureen made by Brown Westhead & Moore in England. The pattern name is Teutonic and it features a sharp flow blue transferware design. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC - Washington DC Private Estate. Thomas C. Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. were a manufacturer of China, earthenware and ironstone goods at Cauldon Place, Stoke-upon-Trent in England from 1856 to 1904. Measures 14x8x9.50 to top of handle. Weight 4 pds 14 oz.
