Pair of Italian Polychrome Bedside Commodes, early 20th century, each with a shaped top centered by a floral spray and with a molded edge, above a conforming case fitted with two drawers, the drawers and sides all with similar sprays, raised on cabriole legs ending in peg feet, h. 29-1/2", w. 22-1/2", d. 11-1/2".

The painted surfaces with nicks, scrapes and scratches throughout, some light blistering and infill on both sides of one chest. Minor paint loss throughout. The chests are sturdy; one has a minor loss to one leg, making the piece a little unlevel. The distressed paint finish with a nice decorative quality. All hardware present.
