Outstanding Rhode Island chimney cupboard with single raised panel door, snip hinges, and open candle shelf in original red stain - please note that the opening on the top shows no signs of ever having a door of any kind - it appears it has always been open - the small holes you see to the left of the opening appears to have held some type of kitchen tool, perhaps a small towel drying rack that would have been added later. Cupboard is 18th century. 54.5"H x 20"W x 16"D. Break in lower snipe hinge, small repair to rear left foot (see photo - small piece has been reattached), otherwise very good original condition.
