Chinese, 19th and 20th century: seated Quanyin posed at royal ease, molded in exquisite detail, incised robes and elaborate hair, diadem bearing a Buddha figure, herringbone-edged dais, impressed gourd-shaped mark over four-character seal mark, 9-1/2 in., [broken thumb, firing crack to base interior], carved hardwood stand; Quanyin with downcast eyes, flowing windswept robe on base of waves, holds scroll of wisdom, 14-1/2 in., [flaws on back of shoulder, lacking fingers of one hand with restoration;] heavily potted bearded figure of Tudi by Chem Wei on a low throne, flowing robes and beribboned hat, 8-3/4 in., [small firing chip on leg of throne, some dulling to glaze consistent with age] .
