Description
Muller & Co.(Volkstedt, Germany., founded 1760), circa 1900s. A large 'Dresden Lace' porcelain figural grouping comprising of three figures in 18th century dress with porcelain lace decoration; a seated beauty playing piano as a standing male plays the violin and another seated beauty plays the lute. The grouping on a porcelain rococo shaped floral painted base having gilt heightened scroll detail around edges. Stamped under the base in underglaze blue crown with 'MV' for 'Muller Volkstedt'. Approximate height 8", width 13", depth 6.5".
