Description
An early 20th century 18ct gold and platinum diamond bar brooch. The three old-cut diamonds, each within a millegrain surround, to the tapered openwork lattice sides with similarly-set old and rose-cut diamond line detail. Principal diamonds estimated total weight 2.80cts, H-K colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Length 9.6cms. Weight 15.1gms.
Condition
Overall condition good. Light surface scratches to setting in keeping with general wear. Diamonds bright and lively, principal diamonds with scattered light and dark inclusions, one diamond with a surface reaching inclusion. Diamonds assessed within the limitations of the settings. Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate colour/clarity grade and weight assessment.
