A mid 20th century sapphire and diamond brooch. The rectangular-shape sapphire, to the circular-cut diamond collet line, with similarly-cut diamond line sides and calibre-cut sapphire terminals. Stamped 15293. Estimated total diamond weight 1.50cts. French assay marks. Length 4.4cms. Weight 5.9gms.

Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Clasp slides open quite freely, may require attention. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Sapphires are a well matched deep medium blue hue, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions, principal sapphire with a relatively large feather.
