A mid 19th century garnet necklace. Designed as a series of graduated cushion-shape foil-back garnets, suspending a similarly-set pear-shape garnet fringe. Length 43.6cms. Weight 40.9gms.

Overall condition good. Light surface scratches and small dents to settings in keeping with general wear. Garnets vary in hue, tone and saturation, some of the garnets with surface abrasions.
