Large group of mid 19th century coin silver and early sterling. Partial New York coin silver flatware service in the early Albert pattern, including 6 serving or tablespoons, 6 dessert or place spoons, 12 teaspoons and 1 fork, the tablespoons marked C & S with date mark 1851, additional marks for William Gale & Sons (working New York City, circa 1850-1870), the teaspoons also marked for William Gale and Sons, the dessert spoons marked for Wm. E. Ladd, some pieces additionally marked for J.D. Chase of New York. Also included are 2 Olive pattern teaspoons by Wood & Hughes, possibly sterling; 4 Olive Pattern dessert spoons marked for retailers Kidney & Johnson of New York; 5 coin silver tablespoons in a Neo-Grec style pattern with retailer mark for Henry Muhr of Philadelphia; 4 teaspoons in a Neo-Grec pattern with retailer mark for Benedict, New York; 2 King's pattern tablespoons marked H & W. Wilson, Phila.; 10 early sterling teaspoons with engraved decoration marked Clark and Biddle (Philadelphia); 1 knife in the Union pattern by Joseph Seymour of New York, and 1 engraved coin silver knife with twist handle, mark for Francis A.
