Bailey Silver Pitcher, Rococo Revival style with repousse floral decoration and central cartouche engraved PRESENTED TO L.E. NANCE BY HER BROTHER JOEL 1855. Band of repousse feather decoration at neck, feather or gadroon decorated C form handle, all raised on a round molded foot. Marked on underside for Bailey & Co., 136 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, with additional marks for George Sharp, Sterling. 11" H, 35.06 oz troy. Provenance: Descended in an early Nashville family.
