Hale Aspacio Woodruff (American, 1900-1980), "Sunday Promenade"-1935, linocut on paper, signed, titled and noted as artist’s proof in black ink in lower margin. African American figural work depicting five figures (two sets of couples and a woman in a dotted dress) and a dog walking down curving road lined with wooden buildings in their Sunday best . Framed approximately 20.25" x 18.25". Sight size approximately 12.25" x 10.25". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Benno & Babette Rothschild, Columbus, Georgia
