Description
Two early 20th century 18ct gold diamond and gem-set dress rings. The first designed as a vacant setting, to the vari-cut diamond and oval-shape ruby shoulders, the second designed as a vari-cut diamond floral cluster to the scrolling shoulders and tapered band. Two stones deficient. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1903 and Chester, partially indistinct. Weight 3.9gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond foliate band rings band is bent off round. Central stone deficient from ruby ring and one diamond missing from foliate ring. Diamonds fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Typical inclusions and areas of abrasiob visible to the rubies,Ring sizes L1/2 and L.
