Description
An early 20th century 9ct heart-shape gold locket. The central shield-shape vacant cartouche, within a scroll engraved surround, suspended from an early 20th century 9ct gold belcher-link chain, with later clasp. Locket with hallmarks for Chester, 1910. Length of locket 2.8cms. Length of chain 36.5cms. Total weight 10.8gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Some areas of greening to the inside of the locket, the perpex is cracked and the other prespex panel is deficient. More significant scratches to inner casing. Several links are dented and damaged. Replacement clasp stamped 9K. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
