Athens, Greece, ca. early 5th century BCE. Slender terracotta pouring vessel features long neck, cylindrical body, flared rim, on short foot. Body decorated in black-figure technique with four palmettes, each sporting a pair of wide-open eyes, rays on the shoulder. Size: 6-3/4" H (17.1 cm).
Provenance: Ex-estate of the late M. Reiniger collection, Chicago, IL, acquired at Harlan Berk, Ltd.
