The jade stone carved unto a bell shaped vessel, fitted into a carved zitan covered box with comforting design. The ink stone exterior adorned with relief carving of auspicious geometrical pattern, including ruyi, plantain leafs, key fret, and archaic patterns. A open carved jade medallion embellished on to the top cover in the four-seasonal-friends motifs. The zitan wood shows purplish deep brown lustrous patina, with fine feathery grain. The nephrite jade displays pale-creme color, with clean tone and sporadic golden russet inclusion, moist milky appearance.
