IMPORTANT & RARE MASSIVE CLOISONNE ICE CHEST ON ZITAN PEDESTAL

Cloisonne ice chest of rectangular shape body, rounded corners, with two gilt ring banded on the body. Two ruyi shaped handle hung from the center body. the exterior decorated in vivid cloisonne design depicted butterflies and birds amidst flower bloom tree grows between rockworks and white ground, bordered with cobalt blue and gilt key fret pattern to the lips. The rim with further cloisonne decorating of scrolling floral motifs.
The ice chest presented upon carved zitan wood base, raised on four cabriole legs.

Mark on rim, incised six script -KaiShu- character, enclosed by a framed border, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing
