Apulian oinochoeMedium and technique: ceramics; red paint. Provenance: European private collectionSize: 18.5 cm high.Description: the decoration of the body of the vassel is divided in two registers. In the middle part of the body the principal register shows a scene depicting a female face typical of Apulian production. Made with red paint over-painted on a black background. It has a decorated sakkos with pendants and applique that collects hair. The parure is completed by hoop earrings with three hanging pearls. The face is crowned with a "Stephane radiant". Style and remarks: The decoration is made with red and white paint on a black background. The main scene of the decoration is the face of a crowned woman .
