Description

Red and white diamond block signature quilt, given to Reverend Gilbert Lane, 1828-1896, by parishioners of various D.R. churches he served in northern NJ. 74" x 85". Accompanied by a daguerreotype portrait of him, about 1854, cased in gilt black lacquered case with mother of pearl inlay, front cover separated. Some family provenance provided.
