Each piece with an allover heavy repousse floral and rocaille design in high relief against a fishscale ground, an entwining leaf tendril handle with ivory inserts, each hinged domical cover with a floral and rocaille finial, comprising a coffee pot; teapot; sugar; and creamer, stored in an oak canteen with a Goldsmiths Alliance Limited label, brass label "S. L. Cohen Esq". Henry & Henry John Lias, London, circa 1854. Total silver weight 91.2 troy oz; height of coffee pot 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm); height of teapot 7 1/4 inches (18.4 cm). Provenance: Descended to present day in the family of Sophia Andrade Cohen, whose husband is credited with first printing of playing cards.
