BYRON DE LA BECKWITH
(1920-2001) American white supremacist and Klansman, who in 1994 was convicted of assassinating civil rights leader Medgar Evers on June 12, 1963. Lot of two books, includes: "Glory in Conflict: A Saga of Byron De La Beckwith", by R.W. Scott (Camden, Arkansas: Camark Press), 1991, 284pp.8vo., signed on a sticker affixed to the dedication page: "Warmest regards & best wishes, Byron De La Beckwith VI". Also marked, on a sticker affixed to the title page: "Signed While in Prison". Includes a blank order form for the book. WITH: "Establishing African Homelands for Black Americans", by William R. Emmons (Los Angeles: Johnson, Pace, Simmons, and Fennell), 1992, 292pp. 8vo., signed "De La VI" on the top, middle, and bottom page edges, also inscribed by De La Beckwith on title page: "Absolutely the most revealing work I've ever read... 1st read completed 10-18-94 while in captivity, Hinds County Jail, Jackson, Miss." Both have minor bumps and dents on the covers, else very good.
