Sauternes is the world's most famous white wine region as well as one of the world's three major trockenbeerenauslese wine (noble wine) producing areas. Moreover, Rayne Vigneau was classified as Firth Growth in the Sauternes and Barsac region during the official 1855 classification. Under strict grading system, 1986 was named one of the best years of all time.
