Description
Eduard Stellmacher (Gernan, 1868-1929) An 'Edda' Vase. Earthenware vase with greenish / brown glaze can be seen as example 284 in "House of Amphora" on page 176. This shape was exhibited at the 1902 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts, Turin, Italy. Underside bears raised signature reading "Edda, with a swastika like symbol". Beneath this is impressed "Amphora" within an oval and "3620 1" Height: 9.5"
