Figure holds a sword in raised right hand (the bimpangula vocabulary of sculptural gestures states that this figure is standing in a pose known as “telama lwimbanganga” or “standing against power”). Body pierced with blades and nails, a cavity in stomach with cowry shell houses magical substances. MEASUREMENTS: Approximately. 12” tall. CONDITION: Minor surface wear consistent with handling and age. Minor cracks to surface.
