Description
This pair of porcelain vases was produced in France between the 1850s and 1870s. They were produced by an unknown Paris porcelain manufacturer. The vases are 10 inches tall and the opening is 3 1/2 inches in diameter. They are made of fine quality hard paste porcelain. They are gracefully shaped with a pedestal bottom. The ground color is pale lemon yellow. Life-like birds are hand painted on each vase. One is sitting in branches among bleeding hearts and the other next to wisteria vines. You can feel the inspiration of nature in the portrayal of these birds and flowers. The rims and pedestals are trimmed in bright and matte finish gold.
