Herend of Hungary - 12 Blue Garland Cups & Saucers. Set of 12 coffee cups and saucers in the Blue Garland pattern. Marked on bottoms. Saucers are 6 inches in diameter. The Herend Porcelain Manufactory is a Hungarian company of luxury hand painted and gilded porcelains. Founded in 1826, it is based in the town of Herend. In the mid-19th century it was purveyor to the Hapsburg Monarchy and aristocratic customers throughout Europe.TheVienna Exhibition in 1845, the Great Exhibition in London in 1851, the Exhibition of All Nations in New York in 1853, and the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855, led to the popularization of the porcelainworldwide and multiple awards. Also European member of distinctive Comit Colbert, French luxury houses and institutions.
