Offered is a Victorian 18K gold baby teething rattle/whistle with mother-of-pearl handle. It is from Tiffany & Co. of New York (circa 1890) and is marked on one side "TIFFANY & CO. 18 KT. SOLID GOLD." Besides the two bells which provide the rattle, it is also used as a whistle. On the front side of the whistle is a monogramthat does not deter from its beauty and looks more like a decorative engraving. Themother-of-pearl handle has a black spot or line that looks like a crack, but it is not broken or loose; we mention this as it may not be obvious in the photos. Size is 3-3/4" x 2" x 1/2". Total weight is 40 grams.
