Description
dated 1840; rare and historically important transferware set, comprising: teapot, sugar bowl, and creamer, in the Columbia Star pattern, image of farmer working the field in front of log cabin. The images portrayed on the tea set was meant to show Harrison as a common man of the people, this was called "The Log Cabin and Hard Cider Campaign." When in reality Harrison was a vast land holding aristocrat, who held a degree in medicine, the only president to do so.
