Printer’s woodcut at title pages; xyl. initials, head- and final-pieces. Many engraved illustrations, representing coat of arms of Cardinals, portraits of Bishops and important priests of the churches of Verona, headstones, etc.

First and only edition, extremely important for the historical and artistic information on the ancient churches and convents of Verona; it contains many archival documents and biographies of Bishops.

This work is rare to be found in nine volumes given the long period required to complete and print the whole series (between 1749 and 1771).

Provenance: Private library of a Verona noble family.
