The runner is wool. Fringe is worn on both ends. There is a deliberate dark and light area from one end to the other. There is an 18" line of wear in from one side. On this 18" line there is an 8" area where the pile has worn down to the mat. The area showing the mat is 8" long and 1" wide. There is one corner of the rug measuring 1" x 1" that is worn down to the mat. At one edge of the rug there is stitching to prevent the edge from unraveling, there is wear to the pile all along this edge. There is a 2" area of missing binding, where threads are showing, at the side of the runner.
