Description

This is one of the finest toy theaters we have seen. What sets it apart from the normal run of toy theaters are the finely painted molded paper-mache elements which create the proscenium and decorate the front panel of the base. Note the grinning jester's face in the cartouche above the top curtain ridge. The stage retains the original curtain with lyre decoration as well as elements for two scenes which can be fitted into the base along with numerous colorful paper characters and a few illustrated sheets depicting scene set ups.
