Note: Sir Thomas Brock's most recognized sculpture, which displays affinities with this lot, is entitled "Eve" and is currently on view at Tate Britain, London. Provenance: Estate of the Late James K. Schooler, Esq. Purchased from Michael John Decorative Arts Ltd., Westminster, London, 14 June 1985, and accompanied by original sales receipt.
