Mahogany Triple Fusee Bracket Clock. 5 in. silvered dial signed “Theodore B. Starr” has black incised Roman hour numerals, gilt engraved brass center and surrounded by pierced brass filigree, sub dials in the arch for “Silent – Chime” and “Whittington – Westminster”; high quality brass spring driven triple fusee movement with recoil escapement, good fusee chains and progressive quarter hour strike, striking Whittington on a nest of 8 bells, Westminster on 4 coiled gongs and the hour on a cathedral gong, in good running condition, movement plates are numbered on the bottom with 4 dots and 5740. In a beautiful mahogany case with carved drapery border on the dome top, carved door arch with beveled glass, turned and fluted columns and inset pierced carved side panels; in excellent condition with a deep red-brown enhanced original finish. 16.75 in. high x 11.75 in. wide x 9 in. deep. Weight: 27.5 lbs.
