Description
13th century AD. A matched pair of silver penannular bracelets, each formed as a trichinopoly sprung wire band and two trapezoidal finials, each with faux-ropework borders and applied granules. Cf. similar examples from the Baniska treasure displayed in the Rousse Regional Museum of History, Bulgaria. 91 grams total, 77-79mm (3 1/4"). Ex Robin Symes gallery; 1980s.
