comprising 2 oban prints by Kuniyoshi, including a scene from the tale 'Inai-Soshi', by Chozan, of the old cat recounting her brave deeds, the other depicting two cats as a kabuki warrior and a musician, in addition a chuban diptych by Kuniyoshi of the cat-witch of Okabe, also a chuban print by Toyokuni III of a couple with a cat, and another by Yoshitoshi of a monk conjuring up a cat spirit, a slightly larger scene by Yoshitoshi of a god and goddess fishing for cats, another oban print by Yoshifuji of cats visiting a bathhouse, and a smaller print of a cats' banquet, by Ginko, colour-printed woodblocks, v.s., 125 x 180mm. to 360 x 240mm., occasional slight surface wear, one or two with minor losses at edges, all hinged into mounts, unframed, (mid to late 19th century) (9)
