Coming from the "Carriage House" find from 1980's is this superb condition Red Fin Minnow bait with unique "as found" front propeller in lieu of the front mounted spinner blade and swivel, constructed with Donaly's standard brass wire through hardware and single tail hook minus the normal tail spinner. Just a couple of tail scratches and a hairline in one glass eye prevents this bait from being in solid Excellent plus condition. Clearly a unique bait with dished bow tie front prop, and certainly a "must have" for any serious Donaly collector. If there is such a thing as investment grade tackle this meets the criteria in every way!

In 1990 a tackle collector purchased from an antique dealer thirty-five lures, who had found them in a carriage house that was part of an estate that was being sold. It was soon discovered that these lures were variations of Donaly baits, such as the Redfin Minnow, Catchumbibs, Red Fin Floaters and unique styles never seen before. It is believed that these were Jim Donaly's own experimental lures with different designs, riggings, and weedless concepts. The carriage house find was only thirty miles from where Jim Donaly lived.
