Description
1755. The cylindrical mug hand-painted to show a central cartouche with a landscape scene, flanked by foliate motifs on a speckled mauve ground, with a pewter fitting to the length of the handle and mouth, with an ornamental border to the lid and "E.H. 1755" etched into the top and a decorative thumb lever, with 1708 pewter marks to the inner lid. Approx. 9 1/4 by 5 1/4 in., 23.6 by 13.5 cm.
