US Vietnam War F4C Phantom II pilot's flight jacket with patches. This flight jacket presents an olive-green shell, dated 1972 with white printed label reading "MIL-S-183342C" "Suits, flying winter/MIL-S-18342 C (WEP)" with mfg. information. This Vietnam era flight jacket displays a dark blue patch, 4" diameter, with a blue machine embroidered rampant lion and yellow stars (Leo Constellation) above a tally with "VF-213"nmachine embroidered in yellow thread, sewn on right breast. This patch represents the U.S. Navy "Fighting Black Lions" squadron. Right sleeve displays a machine a machined patch with :Kitty Hawk Centrurion" with "200" in center of a 6" gray/yellow diamond. Also, a machine embroidered patch in the form of a playing card with a "Spook" characture below "100 Missions" above a black/red embroidered "Vietnam" with "A" over spades at top and bottom of white "card". Left shoulder displays a 3 1/2" circular white/black patch with "Phantom Pherret" machined in yellow thread surrounding a white embroidered cloaked phantom, This patch was worn by Navy/U.S.M.C aviators flying from the "USS Kittyhawk" then stationed off the coast of Vietnam. Jacket shell and patches in very good condition with wear aound interrior neck area above specification tag. This MacDonald-Douglas Phantom II pilot apparently saw much service during the war with a well-documented squadron. Very good.
