Description
Chinese, 20th century. A collection of two porcelain vessels with cobalt blue underglaze decoration on white ground depicting blooming cherry blossom trees in the negative white space, group comprising a baluster form vase and a small fishbowl. Vase marked to underside with blue underglaze double rings. Bowl unmarked. Vase approximate height 15.75". Bowl approximate height 7.625", diameter 9.5".
Condition
Bowl with scattered minor glazing imperfections, light wear to bottom commensurate with age, small hairline running horizontally on top of rim. Vase with professional repair to mouth with five radiating visible cracks, chip to lower area of vase--visible but not particularly distracting, bottom with wear commensurate with age and some scattered nicks and chips. No other signs of damage, loss or repair.
